roller A day full of fun and excitement went completely haywire for some on Thursday at the Knott’s Berry Farm theme park situated in Buena Park, California. At least ten people sustained injuries after a collision between two roller coaster cars took place in the theme park. Following the accident, all the people who were left injured were taken to nearby medical facilities where preliminary treatment was administered to them.

While revealing intrinsic details of the accident, Mike Yeun, an officer of the Orange County Fire Authority later told reporters that the incident actually took place when two roller coaster cars crashed with each other near the boarding area of the ride. The fire fighting official further went on to say that soon after the accident all the ten victims who suffered from minor injuries to their neck or back, were immediately rushed to different hospitals located near the theme park. It has been reported that all the victims were in the age group of 13 to 60. However, Mike Yeun failed to shed any light into the reason which caused the two roller coasters cars to hit each other while passengers were on board but it has been stated that a thorough investigation has been undertaken to know the actual cause of the collision.

Jennifer Blazey, who is a spokesperson of the Knott’s Berry Farm theme park later divulged to the media outlets that following the accident, the Pony Express ride was shut down but the rest of the park, which was hosting a Halloween haunt, remained open.
