tetonOct 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Road closure is one of the major problems of people during the winter months. It has been stated, on Wednesday, Grand Teton Drive will be closed for southbound traffics. However, the closure is not for wintry conditions or storms. People who need to travel from Mexico Road’s north to the Suemandy Drive should opt for other route as this part of the Grand Teton Drive would be closed for work.

As stated by the sources, a re-construction project of 1.1 million dollar was sanctioned for the widening of Grand Teton Drive and this road closure comes as part of that project. It was also stated that three lanes would be constructed for widening the drive. Sidewalks, drainage system and gutters of the drive would also be improved under this re-construction work.

Two lanes already exist on the Grand Teton Drive and after this re-construction work another lane would be added, which would ease the flow of traffic through this road. As stated by the sources, the re-construction works of road would be over in 2009. However, the work can take more time if the weather condition is unsuitable.

Grand Teton Drive was already partially closed for construction work and the southbound traffic could only use the drive. Sources stated that Southbound traffic would be able to use the road from evening. As long as the road is closed for construction project, people can opt for Spencer Road or Mid Rivers Mall Drive for reaching their destination. Work at St. Peter Justice Center would continue and construction vehicles would be moving on the drive even after it opens up in the evening.
