Bucharest, Mar 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 23-year-old Romanian woman might be the youngest grandmother in the world. Rifca Stanescu was only 12 years when she gave birth to her daughter, Maria.

According to Rifca she was just 11 years old when she eloped with her husband, Ionel. According to The Sun, a full cycle seems to have been completed when Maria also gave birth at the age of 11 years.

The newspaper reported that Rifca was determined not to let Maria follow her footsteps. Those pleas fell on deaf ears as Maria got married at the tender age of 10 years. It seems the family has a long chain in such a small time. Rifca’s mother who is also called Maria was just 40 years when she became great-grandmother.

These stories seem to be in the news more rampant all these years. A 29-year-old British woman is set to become the youngest grandmother in United Kingdom when her daughter gives birth. Kelly John was only 14 years when she gave birth to her daughter Tia.

Tia also got pregnant at the age of 14 and now Kelly is feeling the pain. In an interview with the News of the World, Kelly said that, “My worst nightmare has always been that Tia would repeat my mistake and get pregnant young. [When I found out] I felt the colour drain from my face and all I could do was cry.”
