RFK Jr.’s wife Mary F. Kennedy arrested for DUI
May 20th, 2010 - 1:30 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattBedford, May 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – Mary F. Kennedy has been arrested for DUI. She was arrested on Saturday. Apparently her arrest took place after a police officer saw that she was driving in a haphazard manner and had also run over a curb near a school, which is located in Westchester County. When the police questioned her, then she said that she was going to a fair, as she had to pick some people up from there.
The police also checked her blood-alcohol level and found that it was above the legally permissible limit of 0.08% to 0.11%
There was no information available on whether there were any passengers in the car, when Mary F. Kennedy was arrested. Police also declined to reveal if she had hired a lawyer or not.
Prior to her arrest, the police had visited her house twice in one week. However Lt. Jeff Dickan said that those visits were not in any way related to the DUI incident. One of the visits, was because of a fight between children whereas the other was because of a state domestic incident report.
