Rome, Dec 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Italian scientists say the image in the Shroud of Turin was not faked after a study of the famous piece. The shroud is famed for being the burial cloth of JESUS CHRIST but there have been several disputes about the claim.

Scientists from National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Development in Italy conducted investigation into the claim that the cloth was faked in the middle ages. The scientists concluded that based on the nature of the image, it is not possible that it was faked.

The scientists based their conclusion on the fact that trying to reproduce the image in the lab was not possible because of the chemical characteristics of the cloth. The only way that the image could have been manufactured was by the use of “a short and intense burst of VUV directional radiation” which was not available when the cloth was found.

The History Channel in 2010 used the shroud to recreate the “image” of JESUS CHRIST which was shown on the network.

The Catholic Church owns the shroud and it has been the subject of several studies. The Vatican has refrained from making any public comment about the authenticity of the cloth.
