Rescued Chilean Miner Goes To Graceland

rescued-chilean-minerJan 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) As he toured the Graceland estate of his idol, Elvis Presley, rescued Chilean miner Edison Pena said that he was living a dream. Edison Pena was known to keep humming the songs of the music legend Elvis Presley, during the time he was trapped along with other miners for 69 days. The songs would boost up other workers inside the mine, when he along with 32 miners got trapped inside the coal mine He told the media that the time he spent in the mine had something very precious to teach him.

It was a dream come true for Edison Pena when he was taken for a tour to Graceland (Elvis Presley’s mansion in Memphis) to celebrate the king of rock n roll’s 76th birthday. Edison Pena was a special guest at the event that was held in Memphis, Tennessee, in honor of the late musician. Edison Pena said that he was delighted to be there as a special guest. He cannot describe how it felt. He revealed that the experience was something that is making an impact on him; he heels like he’s on the clouds. While he was there at Memphis, as the special guest, he occasionally broke into the songs “Hound Dog” and “Blue Suede Shoes”, the songs sung by Elvis Presley.

It could be called an appropriate pilgrimage for Edison Pena. While he remained trapped in the mine for 69 days, he asked for Elvis Presley’s songs to be sent down there during the ordeal. On January 26 all 33 of the miners are scheduled to visit Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Edison Pena is also slated to visit Las Vegas on next Monday to catch the performance of Cirque du Soleil’s “Viva Elvis.”
