sanbrunofire3Sep 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The great fire raging at San Bruno which broke out last night is still keeping the authorities on tenterhooks. The blast that took place on natural gas line caused the fire as it has been reported. The fire raged near about 53 homes and made several dozen people wounded so far. The authorities have announced a six fire alarm. The crews have been forced to delay the rescue work owing to the intensity of the fire. The blaze was really powerful and the firemen crew are going through a really tough time.

Dennis Haag the San Bruno Fire Chief said that the Fire crews may succeed in holding the blaze and prevent it from guzzling new areas in the vicinity. Apart from the 63 homes gutted by the fire 120 others have been affected to an extent as the latest reports suggest. The fire can be controlled if the gas line can be shut down totally. Chris Johns the PG&E president said that the company workers are tying to prevent the gas flowing the line to douse the flame. He also added that the company will co operate with the investigation. He however added that it is too early to say anything concrete about the cause of the fire before the access to the gas line is cleared.

He also said that if the investigation reveals the company is at fault it will do the needful for the victims. The authorities are now occupied in accommodating the evacuated victims and providing them with food, water and medicine. The mayor of the city said he is looking into the rescue work.
