Reports: North Korea seizes South Korean vessel
July 30th, 2009 - 5:52 pm ICT by adminSEOUL (BNO NEWS) — A South Korean fishing vessel was towed into North Korea on Thursday morning after accidentally crossing the border, a defense official told the Yonhap news agency.
The incident took place around 6 a.m. local time in the East Sea, the official said. He said four people were on board the ship when it was taken by North Korean authorities.
YTN-TV broadcasted a similar report but had no additional information.
