Rensselaer, NY man pleads guilty to bank robbery

ALBANY, NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) – A Rensselaer, New York resident pleaded guilty on Friday to bank robbery and federal weapon offense, prosecutors said.

Michael Killion, is charged on one count of prohibited possession of a firearm by a felon and one count on bank robbery. In 1996, he was convicted for seven counts of armed bank robbery.

According to police reports, on September 17, 2009 Killion entered the Citizens Bank branch in Saratoga Springs, New York. He covered his nose and head with a hood and a bandana. He then approached a bank teller and demanded her to put bills inside a white grocery bag. Killion stole $1390 in cash.

One day later he was arrested on his car. The law enforcement officers located a Walther handgun inside the vehicle. Killion had been living in his 1993 Buick Riviera for the preceding two weeks.
