Remsen, NY man arrested for stealing $43,000 from workers compensation
February 13th, 2010 - 5:36 am ICT by BNO NewsREMSEN, NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) — State Troopers on Friday arrested a man in Remsen, New York who allegedly stole $43,000 in worker’s compensation benefits, police officials say.
Dennis J. Clark Sr., 50, was arrested for Insurance Fraud in the 3rd Degree, Falsifying Business Records in the 1st Degree, and Fraudulent Practices of the Workers Compensation Law.
The arrest was the result of an investigation that revealed that Clark had obtained in excess of $43,000.00 in worker’s compensation benefits over several years while he owned and operated a garbage collection business known as Flinstone Construction and Sanitation Removal in the Town of Russia.
Clark was arraigned in the Town of Russia Court and is scheduled to reappear in that court at a later date for further court action.
