Rappers arrested in Iran

Tehran, Nov 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) If you aspire to be a rapper, you are welcomed to become one, but not in Iran. The Iranian authorities are cracking down on the Jay-Z wannabes in the country. The semi-official new agency, ILNA reported that several such rappers have been arrested in the country for using “most trashy, juvenile and street-like words and phrases that have no place in proper grammar”.

Both boys and girls were arrested in the raid. The date of the raid was however not revealed in the reported. The new agency quoted a senior police officer in Iran as saying the police has also confiscated several “western style musical instruments” in the raid.

The Tehran Police Chief Hussain Sajedinia revealed during an interview that the group were arrested because “These groups use the most trashy, juvenile and street-like words and phrases that have no place in proper grammar. More importantly, they have no regard for the law, principles, proper behavior and language”.

The authorities are also seriously on the heels of another girl and other people that were also found in the materials that the police confiscated during the raid.

Hussain said that, “Those who have been arrested are among those who have veered away from proper behavior, who have distanced themselves from all of life’s hardships and are in search of comforts that have no limits”.
