London, Dec 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Queen Elizabeth II was spotted taking a train for her Christmas break to Norfolk on Thursday. However she didn’t cause much of a stir, because she was dressed in quite a low-key way and largely went unnoticed amongst her ordinary subjects.

The eighty-three old Queen was dressed in a low-key way and people on the train didn’t recognize her much. She had booked all the 12 seats in a first class compartment for her 100 mile trip to King’s Lynn, Norfolk. The price of each first class seat would have costed her $70 each.

However she didn’t put her security at risk, because her aides and her security team accompanied her too.

Train operator First Capital Connect said: “The Queen is setting a good example traveling by train. We hope she uses our services again.”

Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary was born 21 April 1926. She is the queen regnant of sixteen independent sovereign states known informally as the Commonwealth realms: the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Kitts and Nevis. She holds each crown separately and equally in a shared monarchy, as well as acting as Head of the Commonwealth, and Supreme Governor of the Church of England. As a constitutional monarch, she is politically neutral and by convention her role is largely ceremonial.
