London, July 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It seems like even the Queen is getting involved with innovative technology on the Internet. The British Queen - Elizabeth II has already signed up for accounts on the popular social networking and microblogging site Twitter and even YouTube and the monarch is now starting a photo stream on Flickr on Monday. A royal YouTube channel has been in existence since the last three years.
The queen will be sharing more than 600 pictures of the royal family on the Internet. Those pictures would contain both current and historic ones as well.
The oldest pictures are reported to be from 1861 and involve Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert.
Other important people in the Victorian era such as Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, who was a poet and pictures of the Queen and her son Prince Charles when they were babies, were also shown in the pictures.
Majority of these pictures show the royal family on official business including her last visit to Canada and New York City and even her summer garden party which was held last week.
It ought to be mentioned that in comparison the White House has shared pictures on Flickr since 2009.
