California, Nov 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pies have different meaning to different people. For some, it is just another sweet meant to be enjoyed as a dessert. Other’s cherish the treat and wouldn’t even want to eat it but decorate it and keep it on the shelf.

Whatever the meaning of the cookie is to you, it might be important to have some idea of how it is done. There are several pies out there and each has its special recipe to make it. However some of the common ones are the Blueberry pie, the Raisin pie and of course the Apple pie.

This article will not provide the recipe for any of the named pies but another favorite pie called Pumpkin pie will be discussed here. There are several variants to the pies but if you plan to make the ‘classic’ one, here is the recipe.

As presented by Huffington Post, this is how the Pumpkin pie is made ‘1 qt milk, 3 cupfuls of boiled and strained pumpkin, one and one-half cupfuls brown sugar, one-half cupful molasses, the yolks and whites of 3 eggs beaten separately, a little salt, one level tablespoon each of ginger and cinnamon, salt to taste. Beat all together and bake with an undercrust; enough for three pies.’
