Pulmonary Embolism Speculated To Be Behind Cyclist Vanderbroucke’s Death

Oct. 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Frank Vandenbroucke, a professional cyclist from Belgium died at Senegal in Africa. He had gone to Senegal for holiday. The dead body of the 34 years old cyclist was found from the room of the hotel where he stayed. Vandenbroucke was known to be a talented cyclist and his untimely death is a great loss for the sports world. The cause of his death is not yet confirmed by the sources. Yet, some speculate pulmonary embolism to be the cause behind the death of this cyclist.
Jean-Luc Vanderbroucke, uncle of Frank Vandenbroucke, in an interview stated that the health of the cyclist was not well for sometime. He also told the media that he was also little upset mentally and had gone for holidays this weekend. Problems in the personal life of this cyclist had affected his career. Two years back, he had made suicide attempt as his wife wanted a divorce.
Frank Vanderbroucke started his career in 1994 and for some years had a successful career in cycling. He had won fifty one competitions. Leige Bastogene Liege Classic title in 1999 had earned him a huge glory. His professional career was cut short for his mental depression and there was very little chance of his comeback.
Jose De Cauwer, the former coach of Vanderbroucke when interviewed by the media told that Frank Vanderbroucke was highly talented but coaching him was not very easy. He also stated that Vanderbroucke was a good human being. Cauwer was very much upset at the death of the cyclist. He said,”Frank has done absolutely nothing to deserve this”.
