Jan 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A maths professor of California State University-Northridge, Tihomir Petrov, 43, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts, as he allegedly urinated in front of the door of another maths professor, who was his colleague in the same university. Secondly, since urinating in a public place is considered as a crime, his act landed him into this legal hassle.
Tihomir Petrov, was reportedly having a dispute with the other professor for the last two months. He allegedly urinated in front of the doors of the professor’s office at the Santa Susana Hall of San Fernando Valley campus. However, his act was captured by a hidden video camera that was installed somewhere near, by the school officials. After discovering puddles of what they assumed as urine in front of the professor’s door, the school authorities scrutinized the camera, to dig out the truth. According to the sources, the lawsuit was filed against the maths professor at the Los Angeles Superior Court of San Fernando. Reportedly, his arraign was scheduled on Thursday in San Fernando Superior Court. Tihomir Petrov used to specialize in Algebraic K-Theories and algebraic geometry.
Right now, the 43 year old maths professor, Tihomir Petrov, is all set to fight his case. He has appointed two lawyers to defend him. One of them is Garret Weinrieb, who said that his client is a man of integrity and “impeccable character”. He has also assured that he would fight in his favor in every possible way and emerge him as the winner, with a clean chit. However, if the professor is found guilty, then he might have to spend one whole year in jail or be fined with a maximum amount of $1,000.
