Prince Harry Plays Polo For A Noble Cause

985New York, June 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Prince Harry took part in a charity polo match where he tumbled from his horse as the crowds gasped. However, he was soon back on his saddle and was reported to be uninjured. The third annual Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic match was held at the Governor’s Island which pulled in all benefits for Prince Harry’s charity, the “American Friends of Sentebale”. The charity aims to uplift the condition of the children in Lesotho.

Before the match started, Prince Harry addressed all attendees in a short speech. He said that America is a great nation in the true sense of the term. Over the years, the nation has helped the poor and the downtrodden no matter what the ill or the odds are. Prince Harry also said that he hopes that one day the whole world thinks on the same line as of United States. Among the VIP attendees were Golden Globe winner actress Julianna Margulies who had come for the very first time to see a polo match. She said that she is a great horse lover and that she enjoyed each and every minute of the match. Singer Mary J. Blige was also present at the front seats and told the media that it was great to be seated close to Prince Harry.

Before he rode his horse to play polo on Sunday, Prince Harry also tried his hand at baseball when he threw the first pitch at a Mets game in New York on Saturday. He also attended the charity reception in Greenwich and the Possibility race held at the Central Park. The Royal Team suffered a 6-5 loss against the Brigades led by Nacho Figueras.
