“Primary Day” Debate: A Test For The Fall Elections

Washington, May 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Finally a “Primary Day” has been set for veteran senators to fight it out and prove their worth while two opposing political parties debate on various topics at the special House election in southwestern Pennsylvania. The “Primary Day” is Tuesday and on that day it will be a test for the senators who are already fighting against growing discontent among this year’s voters and the never-ending recession.
In the fight that will be staged on Tuesday, the Republicans will try to gain the support of the Independents and the Democrats. While the new healthcare policy formulated by President Barack Obama is in the best interests of the people and has already grabbed the attention of many, Tuesday’s debate will also see the Washington outsider fighting for his own ground on the American political field.
Republican Tim Burns and Democrat Mark Critz will be pitched against each other on the “Primary Day” battlefield. Both will fight it out for the seat of the late Democrat Rep. John Murtha. What is really interesting is the amount of money that the individual parties are prepared to spend on behalf of their respective candidates. If reports are to be believed, an approximate amount of $1 million will be invested for the two individuals. The debate is supposedly a preliminary preparation for this year’s fall elections.
The Republicans will have to gain a total of 40 seats if they are to be the winning party in the House. The Republicans are trying their best to criticize and show the policies of the President in a bad light while also attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The fight is on for elections in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oregon.
