President Obama congratulates Lithuania on its national day
February 17th, 2010 - 2:46 am ICT by BNO NewsWASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) – President Barack Obama sent his congratulations to Lithuania on Tuesday, as it celebrates its national day.
“On behalf of the American people, I want to extend my sincerest congratulations to those that are observing Lithuania’s national day,” the President said. “The people of Lithuania have a strong commitment to the alliance between our two nations through NATO and our partnership to advance international security. May all those who trace their roots to Lithuania enjoy this day of celebration.”
Lithuania celebrates its 92nd anniversary as it declared its independence on Feb. 18, 1918.
