President Barack Obama’s Effigy Found Hanging At Plains In Georgia

obama-effigyGeorgia, Jan 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It appears that US President Barack Obama is facing adverse situation in his country as well as in foreign lands. Few days back, an effigy of the US President was burnt on the streets of Afghanistan. It has been reported that the Afghans, who were enraged by the death of the civilians, made an effigy resembling president Barack Obama and burnt it on the streets. Burning of the president’s effigy in Afghanistan disappointed his supporters and they became even more upset after an effigy of the President was discovered from Plains in Georgia.

According to the reports, a doll was hung by its noose from one of the buildings and had the name of the President written on it. Red, blue and white sign that were found behind the doll read that Plains is the hometown of USA’s 39th President, Jimmy Carter. Plains is known to be a peaceful place and hanging the effigy of the President dismayed the officials.

L.E. Godwin III, the Mayor of Plains, in an interview said that they had informed the fire department to immediately remove the effigy. People in this region had been quite upset about the incident as they never desired for this kind of publicity. As per the reports, the population count in this region is less than seven hundred and this type of act was not expected from them. Ed Donovan, the spokesman of the US Secret Service in Washington said that a secret service has started to investigate the case. However, they have not yet been able to trace the man, who had done such a disgraceful act.
