1212Washington, Apr 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nationals Stadium witnessed the United States President Barack Obama throwing the first pitch at the kick off game for the season that was played between the Washington Nationals and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Although the throw wasn’t quite impressive as the President himself criticized it to be as high and outside, the United States President did made an impact with his outfit at the grounds. Contrary to his earlier appearances in the games where he made the first pitch in his “Mom Jeans ‘ and tennis shoes, the President wore a Red Nats Jacket and blue Soxs cap which was perfectly paired with his khakis. The pitch went high and somehow managed to pass over the plate only to land safely in the hands of Ryan Zimmerman, the third baseman for Washington Nationals. The president was seemingly unhappy with his throw and he even claimed that he could have bettered that if he was given a chance to play a whole innings.

President Barack Obama is a huge baseball fan who claims that he had been working on his pitch deliveries for quite some time now back at the White House but has not been able to master the thing with utmost perfection. He even watched his pitch carefully as it was being replayed on the screen and said that only if he hadn’t released the ball early, that would have just made it past the baseman The first pitch made by Barack Obama marked the 100th anniversary of the tradition which dates back to William Howard Taft who first initiated the whole thing. Along with the United States President, White House Press Corps Members were present who were bestowed with honorary commemorative pins.
