President Barack Obama Invites Irish Prime Minister On St.Patrick’s Day

Washington, Feb 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) US President Barack Obama, who had been recently honored with the Nobel Peace Prize, is focused to improve the relation of the United States with the other countries of the world. The President, who has always respected the sentiments and values of different religions and nations, has declared his plans to invite the Irish Prime Minister on St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, 2010. St. Patrick’s Day is one of the most important festivals of Ireland and the decision of the president to invite the Prime Minister of Ireland on this day is expected to be beneficial for the relation between these two countries.
Robert Gibbs, the press secretary of White House declared that President Barack Obama has decided to invite Ireland’s Prime Minister Brian Cowen for celebrating the holiday. He added that the president appreciated the way in which Brian Cowen had worked with Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of Britain. As per the reports, Ireland and United States share deep cultural ties as well as strong bilateral relation. It is expected that this meeting would develop their relation further.
Both the countries are committed toward positive development of the world and people hope that this year’s St.Patrick’s Day celebration would be a marked occasion. Reportedly, President Barack Obama had also celebrated St. Patrick’s Day last year with Prime Minister Brian Cowen. St.Patrick’s Day is noted among the major events to take place in Ireland and the step taken by the US President is expected to earn praises from the Irish community.
