williamJan 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Prince William and Prince Harry have now joined the ranks of all their forefathers. A brand new oil painting has been unveiled, featuring the two royal brothers. The portrait is a pretty good one, with the features of the two handsome young men well depicted. The picture has been put up for display in London, at the Contemporary Galleries of the National Portrait Gallery. There are also other portraits featuring the royalty in Britain at the Gallery, alongside the one on Prince William and Prince Harry.

Painted by the British artist Nicky Phillips, the portrait shows the princes talking to each other, dressed in full military costume. They are adorned in the full military regalia, complete with sashes and medals. The portrait is based in the backdrop of the library in Clarence House, which has been the official royal residence of the princes. The pictures are realistic enough, mirroring the two men pretty well, complete with the broken nose of the younger prince, except in some places, like the abundant hair of Prince William, which, in reality, already shows signs of thinning.

The two princes are depicted in the picture in a casual pose, engaged in a brotherly animated chat in the library of Clarence House. The main attraction of the portrait is the informality it exudes, despite the fact that the men are dressed in the most formal of attires, that of the Household Cavalry. The royal sittings took place in the artist’s studio. Both the brothers have expressed their happiness at the unveiling of their first portrait alone. Earlier, all other portraits featured them in the company of other people.
