Policeman rescues drunken man from an incoming train at the Puerta del Angel station
December 5th, 2010 - 10:28 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattMadrid, Dec 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A drunken man stumbled onto the tracks at the Puerta del Angel metro station. Fortunately an off-duty policeman was agile enough to rescue him from the incoming train.
The 41 years old drunken man was waiting for a train at the metro station when suddenly he lost his footing and fell onto the tracks. Other passengers screamed for help and started waving to the incoming train’s driver’s so that he could slow down.
However the life of the drunken man was saved by a courageous police officer who jumped onto the tracks and calmly rescued the drunken man. If the rescue had happened even a second too late, then both of them would have lost their lives. The driver of the incoming train also slowed down and it just stopped a very short distance from where the drunken man had lost his footing.
The drunken man was also fortunate enough to escape any major injury in this incident.
