Police Search for Suspect in Shooting on U Street in DC, 1 Dead, 2 Shot
September 29th, 2010 - 2:57 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonSep 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Police are currently on the lookout for a suspect int he shooting which caused a car crash which left one person dead, and two other with gunshot wounds on the famous U Street corner in Washington DC.
According to the police spokesman, Lt. Nicholas Breul. the investigation is underway to decide whether or not the duel shooting was gang related. A funeral was occurring at the time of the shooting at a nearby church for recent murder victim Ashley McRae. The police do not believe that the shooting was in response to the death of McRae.
A two car crash was caused by the shooting, which occurred near 13th and U streets. The spokesman for the fire department, Pete Piringer said that it is not yet known whether the person who died was killed by the wreck or by the gunshot wound. Another victim was in critical condition, and the third had less serious injuries.
