Perth, Oct. 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The sea police in Perth are reportedly on the look out for a boat named Sea Dolphin II in and around the expanse of water bodies near the Rottnest Island. This intensive search has been launched by the police after they had received a call from some one on board the Sea Dolphin II in the dead of the night yesterday. Since then the massive manhunt has kicked in to operation to locate the crew who were supposedly on board.
According to the details that have bee made available in the incident, it appears that the call had come in nearly about 9:40 p.m. last night. In the mayday call, it was stated that crew were forced to abandon the craft after it took to gradually sinking in the water. From what has been revealed by the police, it seems that the call made was genuine and very unlike a gag.
According to the information that had been revealed by the crew of Sea Dolphin II, the vessel was supposed to be located at nearly about 40 nautical miles north of the island of Rottnest. It is following this bit of information that the Perth water police have launched the manhunt, flanked by volunteer sea search as well as a rescue helicopter. The search has reportedly carried on over the entire stretch of the night but did not meet with any success.
What is adding to their worries is the fact that the police are not very sure regarding what type of vessel they are looking for or even who made the call. As the Sea Dolphin II is not registered in Western Australia, it is proving tough for the police to determine who the craft belongs to.
