Manchester, England, July 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jay Kennedy, a scholar from the city of Manchester in England has said that he has derived a secret code in the works of Greek philosopher and mathematician Plato. If the message which he claims to be true is indeed so, Plato will be regarded as a heretic, a thinker who had completely revolutionary thoughts even in those ancient days.
The scholar says that a particular pattern that he noticed in the writings of Plato led him to the discovery of the secret code. During his study, Jay Kennedy found that in every original piece of work of Plato, there was a passage on music following every twelve lines of the writing and according to the scholar, it was through this passage on music that Plato delivered a secret message on music to his readers. The surprising thing is that no other scholar who had conducted a study on the renowned Greek philosopher had noticed the secret message before.
When asked about what message the secret code imparts, Jay Kennedy says that it was Plato’s way of revealing that he was a hardcore Pythagorean, a Pythagorean being a person who believes that mathematics and music are inter-related. For instance when a person hears a musical note, and he hears another note after that which he feels is in harmony with the first, it is because of the fact that the two musical notes are in simple ratios. So why did Plato want to keep this aspect of his character hidden from the rest of the world? This is because of the fact that Pythagoreans in Greece were hated during the time of Plato and they were persecuted if this trait came to notice.
