May 30, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Universal Orlando Resort together with Warner Bros Entertainment Inc have announced their plans of opening a specialized theme park on Harry Potter. The announcement was out on TODAY with Mr. Tom Williams the CEO of Universal Parks. This concept is one of its kind as the Harry Potter theme park will be incorporated within the theme park the ‘Islands of Adventure’. This is quite unique as it will actually feature a theme park within a park which specializes in a particular theme as well.

J.K. Rowling’s character Harry Potter has been a hit with the young and old alike with each the bestsellers being converted into block buster movies themselves. Rowling, herself, said that the entire park looks exciting and is not likely to disappoint the numerous fans of Harry Potter worldwide. Williams admitted that Rowling had been collaborating with the makers of the theme park since its inception and has expressed her willingness to continue in the capacity.
The visitors to the park will be allowed to visit the Hogwarts castle and unravel the mysteries of the Forbidden Forest as they stroll through the Hogsmeade.

The designer Stuart Craig, who had been involved in the Harry Potter movies has been signed up as the creative designer of the theme park too and hopes it as true to life as possible.

The park is expected to feature a bunch of rides, restaurants and shops all based on the theme itself. The announcement comes just before the release of the seventh book, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ which is expected to be out on the 21st of June.
