Plane part falls, lands in parking lot in Miami
February 6th, 2010 - 1:39 am ICT by BNO NewsMIAMI (BNO NEWS) — A large piece of an Atlas Air Boeing 747 cargo plane fell just before landing in Miami on Friday, local media reported. There were no reports of injuries.
The piece landed in a parking lot at the Miami International Mall after falling from the plane on its final approach to Miami International Airport. The cargo flight was arriving from Santiago, Chile and landed safely about 12:30 p.m. ET.
Atlas Air is based in Purchase, New York.
