Plane carrying more than 100 people crashes in DR Congo, casualties unknown
July 8th, 2011 - 10:17 pm ICT by BNO NewsKISANGANI (BNO NEWS) — A Hewa Bora Airways passenger plane carrying more than 100 people crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Friday afternoon, the airline said, but few details were immediately available.
The large plane belonging to Congolese airline Hewa Bora went down as it attempted to land during bad weather at Bangoka International Airport in Kisangani, the capital of Tshopo province. The airline said more than 100 people were on board, but gave no other details.
It was not immediately known if there were casualties.
