November 10, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Muhammad Zar, A man out delivering Pizzas in Glasgow, for the well known outlet of Dominos, was in for a shock when he found himself staring at the wrong end of a knife which was held just a few centimeters away from him. He was robbed of his money, car keys and his mobile phone. William McManus, the 30 year old robber and his accomplice did not even let him keep the pizza that he was supposed to deliver.

The robbers then started waving the knife around and instructed Zar to walk quietly to the end of the road before turning right. Muhammad Zar was scared of walking into a trap and decided to turn left instead. He then proceeded to ask for help at the first house which still had the lights on.

Life certainly takes unexpected twists and turns, he realized when William McManus walked in. The house belonged to his mother and both McManus and his brother stayed within the premises. Zar started to make a run for it as soon as he realized his folly. The law enforcement authorities, however, managed to catch the 30 year old robber after they had been called in.

McManus denied his involvement in the crime initially but admitted to it finally. The incident took place on the 19th of February. The case came up for hearing at the court this week but the sentencing has been postponed due to lack of reports. William McManus is currently out having been granted bail by the legal authorities.
