Pirates hijack North Korean cargo vessel
February 3rd, 2010 - 10:24 pm ICT by BNO NewsNAIROBI, KENYA (BNO NEWS) — European officials say pirates hijacked a North Korean General Cargo vessel off the coast of Yemen on Wednesday.
The European Union Naval Force said the North Korean General Cargo vessel M/V RIM was hijacked on Wednesday morning in the Gulf of Aden, north of the Internationally Recommended Transit Corridor (IRTC).
It was not immediately clear how many crew were on board.
