Pilot family ‘Jacomini’ found dead after reported missing on Friday

Wreckage of plane taking 4 lives of Jacomini family to Colorado mountains and lost on Friday has been found, relatives reported no survivors.

The wreckage of a Single-engine plane in which a Texas couple Pilot Tommy Jacomini, 42, of Houston, his wife Susie and their two young children, 7-year-old son Tommy and 5-year-old daughter Vivi disappeared Friday after taking off from Steamboat Springs, Colo. to return to Brenham was found Sunday.

The family was supposed to be arrived in Brenham around 8:30 p.m. Friday, The parents Tommy, Sr. and Beverly Jacomini were about to pick them up at Brenham airport on Friday, but said they never received a call that the family was en route.

Jacomini’s relatives reported that Brenham airport was in communication with Tommy Jacomini about 15 minutes after the 9 a.m. takeoff. They believed that Tommy was in the process of filing a flight plan, but it wasn’t completed, because the airport lost all communication with the plane, which disappeared from radar.

A hiker from Denver found the plane in the mountains at 11,400 feet on Mount Guyot, south of Breckenridge Sunday afternoon. Near by the seven teams of searchers were searching for the plane.
