Pilot, co-pilot dead after Navy jet crashes into a building in southern India
March 3rd, 2010 - 4:21 pm ICT by BNO NewsNEW DELHI (BNO NEWS) — A Naval jet, part of an acrobat demonstration, crashed on Wednesday into a building in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, media reports say.
The pilot and the co-pilot were killed and four people were injured on the ground after the crash near the Begumpet airport during the Hyderabad Air Show, CNN-IBN reported.
The aircraft was an HJT-16 Kiran Mk2 trainer built by Hindustan Aeronautics.
The five-day event features exhibition, conference on civil aviation industry, flying display, and other activities, according to CNN-IBN.
