Philadelphia, PA man sentenced for bank robbery
March 6th, 2010 - 4:33 am ICT by BNO NewsPHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA (BNO NEWS) – A Philadelphia, Pennsylvania man was sentenced to eight years imprisonment for bank robbery, prosecutors announced on Friday.
On July 23, 2009, Anthony Scioscia, 51, robbed the M&T Bank of $950. He threatened the bank teller by saying he was in possession of a gun and demanded larger bills.
The FBI arrested Scioscia the same day and recovered the small amount. Agents found out that he had a prior robbery conviction.
Scioscia will also serve a three-year period of supervised release.
