Saylorsbur, Oct 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a tragic incident, a 37-year-old Pennsylvanian women Kelly Ann was mauled to death by her pet Bear of 9 years. The 350-pound pet beer mauled its owner while she was attempting to clean the beer’s cage. Kelly had a license for the beer and she kept other exotic pets too, like an African lion and Bengal tiger.

When the bear attacked the owner then, in some time her neighbor sprang to her defense and shot the bear, but by then it was already to o late. Kelly had been done to death already.

A state Game Commission spokesman says Walz kept the bear inside a steel and concrete cage near her house about 20 miles northeast of Allentown.

Officials say Walz threw a shovelful of dog food to one side of the cage to distract the bear while she cleaned the other side. At some point the bear turned on her and attacked.

Tim Conway, an information and education supervisor with the game commission, said owners of wild animals usually have a two-section cage, allowing them to isolate the animal behind a locked gate while they clean the other part.

“Why this woman chose to go in the same area that the bear was in is beyond me. It’s a fatal mistake,” he said. “These things are not tame animals; they’re wild animals.”
