Personal assistant says that he helped Lord Lucan flee
February 20th, 2012 - 9:48 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Feb 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) New details are emerging about the controversy surrounding the disappearance of Lord Lucan. The Right Honourable Richard John Bingham, as Lord Lucan, was originally called, disappeared in 1974 and has since never been seen.
Since his disappearance, there have been several theories with many people claiming to have seen him. At the time that he disappeared, Lucan was 39 years. He was officially declared dead in 1999 with his wife suggested that he has drowned.
Another twist has been given to the saga. A former assistant of multi-millionaire zoo and casino owner John Aspinall has revealed that Lucan was relocated to Africa shortly after the gruesome murder of his wife’s maid in 1974. During a BBC documentary, Jill Findlay, not real name, indicated that Lucan lived in the West African nation of Gabon.
She further revealed that Lucan’s children were flown in the 1970s and 1980s to Lucan’s destination to see him.
During the airing of the Inside Out show, Jill said that, “Instructions were to make arrangements for John Bingham, also known as Lord Lucan to see his children and to do that I had to book his two eldest children on flights to Africa… It was in Gabon from what I understand, their father would observe them and see them which is what he wanted to do just see how they were growing up and look at them from a distance.”
In 1975, Lucan was found guilty of the murder of his wife’s maid Sandra Rivett.
