dinner September 8, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): A British originator named Perry Watkins, who hails from Buckinghamshire, has established a fresh world record of propelling a portion of furniture on a racetrack.

What had happened was that the 47-year-old Watkins fixed an engine and wheels underneath a dining table that was titled ‘Fast Food’. Subsequently, Watkins thrust the dining table at a peak speed of 206 km per hour. By this means, Watkins effortlessly outshone the preceding record of 148 km per hour entrenched by a ’sofa automobile’ three years back.

Watkins outdid the earlier benchmark at a 500-metre pathway in the Santa Pod Raceway located in Northamptonshire. This data was divulged by the Daily Telegraph on Tuesday. Watkins has expressed that he has constituted countless bizarre automobiles with his own hands. ‘Fast Food was constructed after nearly a year of labor.

Formerly, Watkins was the possessor of the record of the globe’s lowest vehicle. Watkins still prides himself on having assembled the tiniest automobile ever that he constructed by fastening a 150cc engine to a toy van.

The dining table, which bequeathed Watkins the record, is a Queen Anne dining table (deposited with silver). This latest record has not yet been acknowledged and embraced by Guinness. But it is only a matter of time before Guinness does since it is pretty unambiguous that Watkins demolished the earlier record.
