People All Over The World Respond To Appeal For Helping Haiti Quake Victims

haiti-victimsHaiti, Jan 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The death toll of Haiti is anticipated to reach 200,000 and people all over the world are moved by the sufferings of earthquake victims in Haiti. They have come forward to help Haitian who had virtually lost everything in this disaster. It has been reported that people have donated to different relief organizations, which have sent troops to Haiti. Different organizations have taken the help of social networking sites for collecting necessary fund to help Haiti victims. As per the reports, a large number of people from different parts of the world have given overwhelming response to the appeals of the organizations for supporting Haiti relief.

Though aids are sent in large quantities, it has been reported that crews are facing difficulty in mobilizing them. Reports also indicated that some people were enraged for not receiving aid in time and had raided in the warehouse of the United Nations for food. While there are some reports of violence, most of the people are waiting anxiously for medical supplies and emergency food before their condition does not deteriorate further. It has been reported that for the lack of transportation facilities, it has been difficult to send emergency aid in some places, even after two days of the quake.

As per the reports, United Nations and its alliances have earlier appealed for $562 million to help the people of Haiti to return to their normal life. Reports also indicated that they need the money to fund some of the basic requirements of people for a period of over six months so that the civilization can develop again.
