Penn StateAug 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Princeton Review rankings indicate that Penn State is not any more the best party school. As per the latest rankings which was released recently Penn State is now at number 3. It has been beaten by University of Georgia and Ohio University respectively. Last year Penn State managed to win the top slot in the ranking. This ranking done by an education-based publishing company depends on student submitted online survey forms. The survey was conducted on more than 120000 students.

While the university is not much happy with the result of the survey the university officials do not view this as a dampener either. Geoff Rushton who is a spokesperson of the university questioned that such surveys should not be considered as scientific. However Princeton Review that carried out the review said that the ranking does have merit as it takes into account the opinion of several thousand students of the various universities of the USA. A number of student leaders said that the finding of the study has not taken them by surprise.

Max Wendkos the Inter-fraternity Council President said the third rank was what he actually expected. The Princeton Review publishes more than 60 lists and this year the Pen state was placed in 13 of these lists. The party school ranking depends mainly on how students consume alcohol, and other types of liquor. However the habit of the students with regard to drinking can vary from one campus to another to an extent and this affects the final ranking. Penn State also got good ranking in some other lists by the same agency this year.
