Paula Deen’s Housekeeper Sentenced To 18 Months Of Jail

paula-deen-240Dec 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mary Alice White, the former housekeeper of Paula Deen has been sentenced to 18 months of jail for stealing jewelery from the celebrity chef’s house. Paula Deen who is popularly known as the “Queen of Southern Cuisine” had complained to police about the grave situation after Mary Alice White tried to pawn a pair of earrings worth $18,000 at a Savannah pawn shop. She was accused with the charges of theft on May 5, 2010.

According to sources, Mary Alice White had appeared last week in court where she confessed that she did repeatedly steal jewelry from the Food Network star’s home at Wilmington Island. Mary Alice White had served the Deen-Grover household for a period of nine months during which she did all this stealthily. Reports claim that the notorious housekeeper stole jewelry almost worth of $100,000 for the household. A source claims that when the celebrity chef was first informed of Mary Alice White’s mischievous nature she was shocked and refused to believe it. Gradually, the truth was unfolded and the incident is said to have hurt Paula Deen deeply.

From what came up from the celebrity chef, it was clear that the housekeeper had befooled them in several ways. Mary Alice White has the perfect deceptive looks and no body in the nine months was ever able to guess about this darker side of her. Paula Deen said that the housekeeper was an expert in making every one believe how much she cared for them. Hence, nobody ever understood what Mary Alice White’s actual intentions were. However, it is now time for Mary Alice White to pay the price.
