Pastor Creflo Dollar denies attacking daughter
June 11th, 2012 - 7:56 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattAtlanta, June, 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The pastor of the World Changers Church International Creflo Dollar has denied allegations that he punched his 15-year-old daughter.
Last Sunday, the preacher received an enthusiastic ovation from his congregation, before delivering his sermon at his World Changers Church International church, situated in the Atlanta suburb of College Park. He told his audience that he should have never been arrested for the allegedly attack.
Two days earlier, law enforcement authorities charged Dollar with criminal charges of simple battery and cruelty to children, after his daughter called 911 at about 1 a.m. Friday and claimed that she had had an argument with her father after he did not allow her to go to party. She told police that her father tried to choke her for about five seconds and then started to punch her. He later threw his daughter to the floor and began to hit her with one of his shoes.
Her sister, the preacher’s 19-year-old daughter, confirmed her sisters’ accusation. Police noted a scratch on the teenager’s neck. Dollar is one of the best-known Atlanta-based preachers. His Atlanta church has 30,000 members and he also has a ministry of satellite churches located all over the US.
