Paris subway station evacuated after bomb scare
September 27th, 2010 - 10:56 pm ICT by BNO NewsPARIS (BNO NEWS) — A bomb threat on Monday threatened a heavily transited subway station in Paris, France, which was evacuated, officials said.
The Saint Lazare’s train station was evacuated after an anonymous phone call warned of an existing bomb in the station, but no explosive device was found in the area after a 30-minute police search. The station was then reopened.
Last week, French government officials warned of a terrorist threat involving a possible suicide bomber, which caused the evacuation of a railway station in south Paris.
Two weeks ago, a bomb threat also caused the evacuation of around 2000 people from the Eiffel Tower.
