Dec.20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 2009 is a year that has witnessed the arrival of several breakthrough technological products. This year the netbooks made their presence felt and touchscreen mobiles became the craze. However, not many people know that Panasonic, the eminent Japan based electronics giant launched a special laptop designed to perform under extreme weather conditions- that can survive rough usage. The Panasonic Toughbook 30 wooed the technology experts and users alike and it also won a number of awards for its build quality and technological excellence. Recently, GCN magazine selected the device as the best product of 2009.
As a matter of fact, the Panasonic Toughbook 30 received rave reviews for its superior build quality, excellent performance and rich list of features. Apart from raw processing speed, the laptop got high marks for its outstanding battery life that extends over 6 hours. It is the first ever laptop to get the stringent MIL-STD-810G certification and beat all other competing notebooks in ruggedness. Its IP65 certified weather prof design makes it suitable for armies and navy. The hard drive of the Toughbook features shock protection and the users need not fear accidental drops.
The keyboard is spill resistant and so is the touchpad. Panasonic provides a 3 year standard warranty with the laptop. The magnesium alloy case is sturdy and it can easily survive knocks and dump that are commonplace with the users on the move. Unlike common laptops, the Panasonic Toughbook can run in areas with temperature below freezing point. It can also handle humidity very well. Of course the features and ruggedness comes at a steep price but it returns great value for money.
