Oskar Schindler’s List Up For Sale

schindlerNew York, Mar 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Schindler’s list, which reminds people of the Second World War is making headlines once again. According to the reports of the sources, a copy of the historic Schindler’s list has been found and would be up for sale in the coming days. It has been reported that Gary Zimet, a memorabilia dealer in New York has claimed that this is the last list of Oskar Schindler, which is owned by an individual. Reports indicated that Gary Zimet, the representative of the actual owner of the list has declared to sale the list in exchange of 2.2 million dollars.

As per the reports of the sources, the excitement of people regarding the sale of Oskar Schindler’s list has increased as Gary Zimet claimed it to be the last copy of this list, owned by an individual. He had not only made claims but also tried to establish them by stating that the other three copies of the list are preserved in different museums of the world. Reports indicated that the memorabilia dealer said that the copies of the list can be found in Jerusalem’s Holocaust Memorial Yad Vashem and in Washington’s United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Gary Zimet, who has put up the list for sale stated that the list initially belonged to the family of Itzhak Stern, who worked as the accountant of Oskar Schindler. It has been reported that the family had retained the ownership of the list for more than a period of fifty-five years before they sold it to the present owner of the manuscript. The name of the current owner has not yet been revealed to the media but that has not affected the curiosity of people regarding this list.
