Oregon woman arrested for stabbing husband

PORTLAND, OREGON (BNO NEWS) – An Oregon woman was arrested for assaulting her husband, local authorities said Thursday.

Maureen Mae Olson, 60, of Salem, Oregon, stabbed her husband of 30 years, David Olson, 59, Wednesday evening at their mobile home.

The manager of the mobile home park where the couple is living called the Marion County Deputies at around 5:50 p.m. local time, reporting that one of his tenants came into to the office and told him she had stabbed her husband. She then turned away and left the office.

Maureen Mae Olson was located by deputies and taken into custody near the 5th-wheel camper in which she and her husband have been living for the past five years.

David Olson was found inside the camper, as he reported that his wife had stabbed him with a kitchen knife after an argument in their camper. He was treated by paramedics before they transported him to the Salem Hospital. He suffered of stab wounds in his back, and his current condition is unknown.

Maureen Olson was arrested and charged with Assault 4, a felony, and she was lodged at the Marion County Jail where she is being held on $40,000 bail.

There were no known witnesses to the assault.
