The openly gay Michigan student assembly president Chris Armstrong is all set to be interviewed on CNN. It may be recalled that he is in the news because Michigan Assistant Attorney General Andrew Shirvell is up in arms against him, because of his sexual preferences. Andrew blasted him in numerous blog posts for being gay and then also spoke to the media against him.

Chris Armstrong has maintained a dignified silence on the topic till now, and has not retaliated at the personal attacks made against him by Andrew. However now he is all set to break his silence on the CNN show – ‘Anderson Cooper 360’, where he will speak about the issue on hand and also clarify his position on the matter. Chris has the backing of the University officials in this matter.

“Chris Armstrong the college student targeted for months by an asst attorney gen in Michigan will break his silence on 360 tomorrow,” Cooper wrote on the popular social networking and microblogging site Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

Andrew has an anti-Chris blog that is titled as “Chris Armstrong Watch.” He has also alleged that Chris promotes a “radical homosexual agenda” on the university’s campus.
