O’Fallon, Illinois man guilty in heroin overdose death case
February 11th, 2010 - 2:28 pm ICT by BNO NewsFAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS (BNO NEWS) – A man of O’Fallon, Illinois, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a federal indictment on count of distributing of heroin resulting in death, prosecutors announced.
Ryan W. Asselin, 24, admitted providing with heroin a resident of O’Fallon that resulted in an overdose death on October 5, 2009. He previously pledged innocent of the charge against him.
Asselin could face a minimum sentence of 20 years up to a maximum life imprisonment sentence alongside a probable three year supervised release. His sentence hearing is scheduled for May 14, 2010.
