Columbia, S.C., Nov. 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In recent years, obesity has become one of the most prominent health hazards of the world. Recently, a 33 year old man, Daniel Webb, who suffered from morbid obesity reportedly died at his home. His death added one more person to the list of people who died for obesity. Medical reports stated that the man had died after getting cardiac arrest. It has been reported by the sources, the man weighed 900 pounds and did not have any health insurance which made it difficult for him to get proper treatment for his health related problems.

Ada Webb, wife of Daniel Webb in an interview stated that her husband had been sitting in a recliner continuously for last few months which caused a mental setback for him. She said that he felt embarrassed at his own condition and refused to seek help of people. Mrs. Webb said that she had tried everything she could for curing her husband but ultimately could not save him. She stated that Mr. Webb who was a pastor used to write sermons on the internet while seating on the recliner and played with his pets during his last days.

As Daniel Webb’s pains were increasing, his mother called the paramedics team for helping him come out of the chair. It was almost impossible to remove the man from the chair without cutting the chair. Though he was removed from the chair, he could not survive long and died. His wife said though the medical reports stated he died for cardiac arrest, she considers, “… he died of a broken heart.”
