New York, July 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A couple in New York have sued a dog sitting agency demanding a sum of $1million as they believe that it is the agency’s unprofessional and irresponsible attitude which accounted for the death of their pet. Laura Garner and Robert Hardon, bankers from New York alleged that their French bulldog was left alone in the back of a van where he died as a result of the atmosphere getting overheated.

The lawsuit filed by the New York couple in court claims that their pet Percy was entrusted to the care of Doggie Love, a dog sitting agency for a single night and it was during that night that the dog met with his death. The incident occurred when the dog was being taken to the couple’s apartment at the back of a van. The lawsuit further claims that in spite of noticing that the dog was ill, the authorities in charge of Percy did not heed the warnings of the doorman of the couple’s apartment to call a vet immediately and left the dog all alone to meet with his death.

When Percy was discovered dead by the veterinary authorities, they found that his temperature was much more than normal and that he had suffered seizures before his death. The couple have also alleged that Doggie Love was not sympathetic to their pain when the couple reported the death of Percy to the authorities of the dog sitting agency. The lawsuit that was filed at the Queens Supreme Court yesterday enlists $1million as the total amount that has to be paid by Doggie Love as damages.
